The Uniden USC230 Race Scanner has been designed with both race marshalls and motor racing enthusiasts in mind. However, this scanner also covers airband (with the 8.33KHz step) and includes Uniden's popular Close-Call feature, and so is not simply a one-trick pony. The USC230 has up to 2500 dynamically allocated channels. This ensures you have plenty of room to store information about all the races and other radio systems you want to monitor. The memories can be organised in whatever way you like by using Uniden's exclusive dynamic memory management system.

It is easy to program and use the USC230 at the track by using the Racing Operation of this scanner. On screen prompts guide you through the programming and car selection process. Those radio users interested in Formual 1 will be pleased to hear that the Uniden USC230 is preprogrammed with frequencies for the F1 racing series.

At other public events you may not be aware of the frequency of the nearby transmissions. However, Uniden's exclusive Close Call technology (also a feature of the UBC72XLT and UBC92XLT) ensures you can lock on to these transmissions ...no programming required.

The USC230 also includes alpha tagging. The alphanumeric display allows you to assign a name to each channel such that you can easily identify who is talking.
